Real music by real musicians,real comedy by truly funny people and real ale by local brewers.
Good food, good drink, outstanding hospitality and lots and lots of smiling are more than encouraged, we just can’t help ourselves.

Festival des Hautes Terres

Trad, jazz, trach … ‘Rock and peak “and colegram … eleven years, the city cantalienne the wind blows a revival of cultures of the Massif Central with an event dedicated to creating contemporary cultural, musical, theatrical and artistic in its together.
And this year, pleasure to meet, such as members of a family invited to the banquet, will be the same intensity.
The sounds and voices of Boya , Maliétès , TZANE Trio , Haïdouti Orkestar , from the Balkans will meet Celtic rhythms Daimh (pronounced Dive) and Portuguese group Galandum Galandaïna

Hebridean Celtic Festival

We have consistently tried to bring a variety of music from around the world to our festival, attracting performers from a huge number of countries. We have also worked hard to ensure there are shows outside of Stornoway. We will always seek to bring fine quality live Celtic music to our festival. We’re very pleased to report that the vast majority of our performers express great enjoyment at playing here, citing the wonderful reception they get from our volunteers and festival-goers.

Barrafest
This annual festival is run by Fèis Bharraigh, a well known and established traditional music tuition group on the island.
This unmissable event takes place in a marquee on Tangasdale Machair overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The band line up features a celebration of modern traditional music with some fresh new sounds.

Lomond Folk Festival

Lomond Folk Festival takes place from Friday 29th until Sunday 31st July 2011. Now in it’s 12th year, this festival offers a blend of traditional folk music and song including concerts, sessions and workshops, as well as a craft fair, kid’s entertainment and a camping/caravan site, all on the banks of Loch Lomond.

Celtic Connections Big Top

Celtic Connections – Glasgow’s internationally renowned folk, roots and world music festival – will stage a first-of-its-kind, two-day music festival on the Isle of Skye as a finale to the Year of Scotland’s Islands. Taking place on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th March 2012 at the Broadford Airfield, the Big Top will feature a line-up of traditional music, show-stopping arts experiences and action-packed workshops on a local and international scale, showcasing local talent alongside top international artists.
